Opportunity Cost
Opportunity cost is about the everyday decisions we make, the unseen costs behind them, and understanding what we give up for what we choose.
I study Quantitative Economics and Mathematics at Berea College, with a minor in Computer Science. I am interested in development economics and in questions at the intersection of AI, poverty, and education.
I study these using data, statistical models, and causal methods, including econometrics, causal inference, and causal machine learning. I believe quantitative tools should do more than predict. They should help us understand why problems exist and what actually works to fix them.
Beyond academics, I enjoy reading and writing. On this site you will find some of my writings, reflections, and notes on the books I read. I also enjoy meeting new people, so please get in touch.

AI can change how we learn, but it cannot replace the most important part of education, which is learning how to think for yourself. That's the least you can do.
A small habit today may not produce an immediate result. But when the habit is repeated over weeks, months, and years, the effect becomes stronger and bigger.
